If you create a Public Profile, Snapchatters are still able to add you as a friend by subscribing to your Public Profile, searching for you, etc. These friend requests will typically appear in the 'Added Me' section.

Snapchatters can Subscribe to you from Spotlight, Our Story, Discover, or by using the subscribe button on your Public Profile. Unlike friend requests to non-Public Profile owners, Public Profile owners will not receive a notification for new subscribers.

Expert Tip 💡 If you Subscribe to a Public Profile, you’ll be adding that Public Profile owner as a friend, and they can add you back as a friend.

Please Note: Creating a Public Profile does not change any existing contact or Story privacy settings.
