Public Profiles
What is a Public Profile?
Public Profiles enable Snapchatters ages 16 and older in certain countries to share their creativity publicly and grow an audience on Snapchat. A Public Profile is totally optional to use and when you post, you have full control over where each Snap is shared, who can see it, and if you want your content saved to your Public Profile or not.
Public Profile grants access to a handful of tools like showcasing Stories, Spotlights, Lenses, and more! Use your Public Profile to express yourself to the wider Snapchat community!
Keep in mind, you may not be able to have a Public Profile if you do not adhere to our Community Guidelines.
What's the purpose of a Public Profile?
Snapchatters who are 16+ and want to share their creativity can post a public Story or share a video to Spotlight with attribution back to this publicly viewable content page within their profile. We offer Snapchatters control over each piece of content they create with intentional posting options that let them determine where each Snap is shared, who can see it, and if it gets saved to their Public Profile.
Is my Public Profile the same as a Business Profile?
Business Profiles are used by brands of all sizes to feature their unique Snapchat assets and content. Business Profiles are not created for you by Snapchat. You must be 18 or older to have a Business Profile.
