Community Filter Guidelines
Follow these Community Filter guidelines to increase the likelihood of your Filter being selected.
Geofence Tips
Pick a location where people are likely to gather and send Snaps — like a city, neighborhood, park, or university.
Make sure your Community Filter is relevant to the location and something that Snapchatters will want to use!
Draw your Geofence thoughtfully — it should only cover the relevant area. Don’t cover an entire country, state or province.
Please Note: Businesses are not eligible for Community Filters. You can purchase Filters for businesses online, instead!
Moment Filter Tips
Keep your design relevant to the moment you’ve chosen! Make sure Snapchatters will find it exciting to use your Community Filter when they Snap about their moment.
Moments can range from grabbing brunch, shopping, watching a sports game, or any occassion worth Snapping!
Artwork and Graphics Guidelines
Be creative and make your design visually compelling!
Make your artwork 100% original, and don’t include clip art, even if it’s royalty-free.
Don’t use logos or trademarks. The only exception is that we will accept college and university logos submitted by an official .edu address affiliated with the school.
Don’t use photographs, or photographs that were edited to look like they’re illustrated.
Don’t use hashtags.
Don't cover up too much of the screen with your artwork!
