If so, our Monetization Program rewards established Creators for the content they post – it’s our way of saying thank you for investing in the Snapchat community.
How to Get Invited
Snap does not charge any fees or accept payment of any kind in exchange for invitation to the Monetization Program. If you are contacted by a third party promising invitation in exchange for payment, please note that such third party is not affiliated with, or authorized to act on behalf of Snap, in any way.
Snap regularly reviews Creators for potential invitation and will notify you via the email address associated with your account if you are invited. No third party controls eligibility to the Program.
As part of the Program, Creators may be eligible for invitation if they meet the following criteria. If you are invited, we will get in touch with you by email – so make sure your account details are up to date!
1. Audience & Engagement
- Have at least 50,000 followers; and
- Achieve one of the following in the last 28 days:
- 10 million Snap views; or
- 1 million Spotlight views; or
- 12,000 hours of view time
2. Consistency
- Post at least 25 times per month to Saved Stories or Spotlight; and
- Post to either Spotlight or Public Stories on at least 10 of the last 28 days.
3. Compliance
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your country; and
- Publish original, advertiser-friendly content compliant with our Community Guidelines & Content Guidelines for Recommendation Eligibility; and
- Reside in an eligible country; and
- Comply with our Monetization Terms and Creator Monetization Policy
How Revenue Sharing Works
Snapchat will post ads between Snaps in a Public Story or within a Spotlight, and Creators in the program receive a share of revenue.
Want to cash out your rewards? No problem. Creators can manage their payouts in-app, and cash out a minimum of $100 daily whenever they choose.
To cash out, Creators must be fully onboarded for payouts. Simply follow the steps here.
Best Practices
Create meaningful, lengthy and engaging Stories and Spotlights. The more authentic and engaging content, the better the results may be.
Ads will primarily be served based on the amount of time Snapchatters spend watching your Stories and Spotlights. In order for Spotlight videos to be eligible to earn revenue, they must be at least 1 minute long.
Keep it real, keep it Snappy
Snapchatters want to know and interact with the real you. Story and Spotlight replies are a great way to connect with your community.
Use the Snapchat Camera and Creative Tools to create entertaining Snaps and Stories. Dynamic motion and bright colors in your very first Snap hook your audience and closed captions provide context that help keep them engaged.
