What is Notification Center?
Notification Center shows activity related to you on Snapchat in one place. You can open Notification Center from the Stories, Camera, or Chat tabs. Tap the bell icon to view your notifications.
How do I use Notification Center?
You can view and take action on your notifications in Notification Center. Notifications appear in one list, grouped by date (for example, Today, Last 7 Days, and Last 30 Days). Tap a notification to open what it refers to.
Examples of activity you may see include Story replies, friend suggestions, map updates, or achievements. If you use Snap Pro or creator tools, you may also see notifications about your public content.
How do I know when I have new notifications?
The bell icon can show a badge with how many new notifications you have since your last visit to Notification Center. The badge is generated by the count on the Stories, Camera, and Chat tabs. It clears when you open Notification Center, even if you do not scroll through every notification.
How are unread notifications marked inside Notification Center?
When you open Notification Center, notifications you have not seen before may be marked with a red dot. After you leave and return, the red dot can be removed from notifications you viewed on screen.
If you have unread notifications below what is on screen, a pill at the bottom of Notification Center can show how many are unread. Tap the pill to jump to the oldest unread notification and mark older unread items as viewed.
How do I delete a notification?
Swipe left on a notification to delete it. Deleting can remove that notification from Notification Center.
How long do notifications stay in Notification Center?
Notifications older than 31 days should be removed automatically.
How is Notification Center different from push notifications?
Notification Center is where in-app activity and product updates appear when you are in Snapchat. Push notifications are alerts on your device.
