Why am I getting Snapchat notifications when I'm logged out?
You may still get some Snapchat push notifications after you log out if your account stays on the login screen for one-tap login and your device allows notifications for Snapchat.
Snapchat may send a limited number of reminders about activity on your account, such as unread messages or friend Story updates. Notification text is designed to be generic and does not show private message content or who sent a Snap.
Please Note: These notifications follow the same in-app notification settings you had before you logged out. They also require notification permission for Snapchat in your device settings.
How do I stop notifications while I'm logged out?
You can:
- Log back in to your account. Logged-out reminders stop when you sign in.
- Remove your account from the login screen if you do not want one-tap login on this device. Learn how to add or remove login information on your device.
- Turn off Snapchat notifications in your device settings, or turn off specific notification types in Snapchat. Learn how to control notifications on iOS or control notifications on Android.
If you stay logged out, these reminders stop automatically after about 28 days.
What happens when I tap a notification while I'm logged out?
Tapping may open Snapchat and sign you back in with one-tap login, then take you to the relevant screen in the app.
If you are on a shared device, remove saved login information on the device if you do not want others to sign in to your account from the login screen.
I'm logged out on one device but still logged in elsewhere. Will I get these notifications?
Logged-out reminders are meant for accounts that are logged out on a device and eligible for one-tap login on that device. If you are still logged in on another device, you may not get logged-out reminders on the device where you signed out.
