Forgot your password? No problem — there are a few ways you can reset it on your browser or from the Snapchat login screen as described below 😊
Please Note: Never share your password with anyone — not even us! A Snapchat representative will never ask you for your password. We don’t need it to help you.

Reset your password via email from the Snapchat login screen
- Tap ‘Forgot your password?’
- Then select how you would like to reset your password — via email
- You should receive a password reset link via email to the email address associated with your account
- Click the URL — if you cannot click the URL, please copy and paste the URL into your browser
- Lastly, enter your new desired password!
Reset your password via text from the Snapchat login screen
- Tap ‘Forgot your password?’
- Then select how you would like to reset your password — via SMS
- A verification code should be sent to the phone number associated with your account
- Enter the verification code and select ‘Continue’
- Lastly, enter your new desired password!
I lost access to or forgot the mobile number I used on my account
If you have an email address associated with your account, you can also reset your password via email.
For security reasons, we're unable to reset a password for an account if:
- Your account does not have an associated email address or mobile number
- You do not know the associated email address and/or mobile number
- You do not have access to the email address and/or mobile number linked to the account
However, you are welcome to create a new account using your email address and mobile number!
Please Note: If you have Login Verification enabled you may need your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Login Code or Recovery Code to log in 🔑
