You can change your Snapchat username once a year. That means 12 months since you last changed your username.
To change your username…
- Tap ⚙️ in My Profile to open Settings
- Tap 'Username' under the 'My Account' section
- Tap 'Change Username'
- Enter your new username, then tap 'Next'
- Enter your password to confirm your username change, then tap 'Confirm'

Your username can only be changed once a year, but you can change your Display Name whenever you like!

What is a valid Snapchat username?
Here are some tips if you’re creating a new Snapchat account or changing your username:

- Usernames can only contain Latin letters, numbers, and one of -, _, or . but no special characters.
- Usernames must start with a letter.
