Authorized third-party apps, in connection with Snapchat through Snap Kit, can be connected to your Snapchat account. Snap Kit apps let you share Snaps, Stories, and Bitmoji to and from your favorite apps.
Snap Kit allows developers to request access to specific user data, like your Display Name or Bitmoji. External partner apps (i.e., third-party apps NOT owned by Snap) are limited to only requesting Display Name or Bitmoji, and you may selectively authorize access to one or both fields.
When you connect an app, you can review and confirm what information is shared and remove the app from Settings at any time. External partner app connections are automatically removed after 90 days of inactivity. Connections to Snap-owned apps, like Bitmoji, Lens Studio, and Saturn, are not automatically removed.
To remove a connected app…
- Tap your profile icon and tap the gear icon ⚙️ to open Settings
- Tap ‘Connected Apps’
- Tap the app you want to remove
- Tap ‘Remove’ at the bottom-middle of the screen
Please Note: Not all applications are allowed to be connected to Snapchat. Learn more about unauthorized third-party apps.
