What type of Profile do I have?
If you have not created a Business Profile in Ads Manager, you probably have a standard Profile. Business Profiles can only be created or managed by you in Ads Manager. Business Profiles are not created for you by Snapchat, unlike standard Public Profiles.
Public Profiles allow Snapchatters to be discovered in the app and grant access to a handful of tools, such as Stories, Lenses, and Subscriber count. Learn more about Public Profile features here.
If you're interested in gaining access to additional features, check out this page for more information on eligibility and other frequently asked questions.
What are the ads I'm seeing in my Chat feed?
Sponsored Snaps are a type of ad that appears in your Chat feed. All Sponsored Snaps are marked with an ‘Ad’ badge. You can tap on the Sponsored Snap to view it, or tap on the Profile icon for more information about the advertiser. However, if you don’t interact with a Sponsored Snap, it will disappear from your feed.
You can also press and hold on a Sponsored Snap to see the option to clear it from your Chat feed.
To enjoy Snapchat with no Sponsored Snaps and no Story or Lens ads, you can subscribe to the Snapchat+ Platinum Monthly Plan.

How do I add or block friends?
I get an error message when I try to accept or add friends.
There are a few reasons why you might not be able to accept or add a new friend.
- You might be adding friends too quickly. If you’ve added a lot of friends recently, wait and try again later.
- There’s a limit to how many friends you can have — it’s A LOT. If you reach this limit, then you can’t add more friends. You can remove friends to make room for new ones, though.
Can I search my list of blocked users?
There’s no search function in blocked user lists at this time. To review which users you’ve blocked manually, follow these steps:
- Tap the gear icon ⚙️ in the Profile screen to open Settings

How do Best Friends and Friend Emojis work?
I want to remove someone from my Best Friends list.
Best Friends are the friends you send 1:1 Snaps and Chats to most frequently and most recently. You cannot manually remove someone from Best Friends, but as you change who you communicate with the most, your list of Best Friends will change over time.
My Best Friend Emoji went away. How do I get it back?
Friend Emojis are assigned based on the way you and your friends use Snapchat, and can change organically over time with your Snapping habits.
- 💛 You are #1 Best Friends (Besties) when you send the most Snaps to this Snapchatter, and they also send the most Snaps to you.
- ❤️ If you keep sending each other more Snaps than you send anyone else for two weeks in a row, you become BFFs.
- 💕 If you keep sending each other more Snaps than you send anyone else for two months in a row, you become Super BFFs.
