Here’s how you can report this issue directly in the Snapchat app:

Press and hold on the profile or content you’d like to report, then tap 'Report.'

This is the fastest way to report Snaps that violate our Community Guidelines and helps to protect the entire Snapchat community.

You can report safety concerns—including violating accounts and content—directly from within the Snapchat app. Tap to learn more:

Report a Snap or Story

To report a Snap or Story you see on Snapchat, press and hold on it and tap 'Report Snap' to let us know what’s going on.

You can report different types of content on Snapchat by pressing and holding this way. You can report:

  • Direct Snaps
  • My Stories
  • Shared Stories
  • Public User Stories
  • Snaps on the Snap Map
  • Snaps on Spotlight

If you just don’t like that kind of content in Stories, you can instead tap 'Hide' to see fewer Stories like that.

To report a Story from the web (not the Snapchat app), click  at the bottom of the video and click 'Report Snap.'

Report a Snapchat Account

To report someone’s Snapchat account:

  1. Open the Chat screen
  2. Press and hold on the Snapchatter's name
  3. Tap 'Manage Friendship’
  4. Tap 'Report'
Report a Chat Message

To report a Chat message, press and hold on a message you’d like to report, then tap 'Report.'

Report a Public Profile

To report a Public Profile on Snapchat…

  1. Go to the Public Profile that you want to report
  2. Tap  at the top
  3. Tap 'Report'
  4. Choose the reason you’re reporting the Public Profile, then tap 'Submit'
Report content in Discover
  1. Press and hold on the tile in Discover
  2. Tap 'Report Tile' or 'Report Ad'
  3. Let us know what the issue is!

Please Note: Not all Snapchatters see the same Stories content or ads. The content you see may depend on your age, advertising and interest preferences, or other factors.

Report Lenses

To report Lenses you've unlocked:

  1. Go to the Camera screen and tap anywhere to launch Lenses 👆
  2. Scroll to the Lenses you want to report
  3. Tap the ⓘ button above the Lens button to bring up more info
  4. Tap 'Report' to report it

To report Lenses you see in Snaps:

  1. Press and hold on the Snap you want to report
  2. Tap 'Report Snap' to report it
Report a Chat received from My AI
  1. Press and hold on the Chat response and tap 'Report'
  2. Let us know why you're reporting the Chat
  3. Tap 'Submit'
Report a Snap on Snap Map
  1. Go to the Snap you want to report
  2. Press and hold on the Snap
  3. Tap 'Report Snap'
  4. Let us know why you want to report this Snap.
Report an Advertisement
  1. Press and hold the screen while the ad is playing, or tap the three-dot menu icon
  2. Tap the 'Report Ad'
  3. Select an option for why you’d like to report the ad
  4. Tap 'Submit'
European Union users only: Reporting Illegal Content as per Article 16 of the Digital Services Act

To report content you see on Snapchat that you believe to be illegal, press and hold on it and tap 'Report Snap' or 'Report Ad' to let us know what’s going on. From there, follow the in-app instructions to complete your report and be prepared to give additional information on why you believe the content is illegal.
