Home Safe Alerts are one-time alerts that will notify your friends that you’re home safe.
To use Home Safe Alerts, first make sure your device's location permission is set to “Always” so your location can be updated without opening Snapchat. Then, make sure you have My Home set up.
Once that’s done, follow these steps to turn on Home Safe Alerts for a specific friend:
- Open a chat conversation with the friend you want to notify
- In the chat, tap the Map icon next to the Memories icon
- Tap ‘Home Safe’ and agree to the prompt
- Your friend will now receive a Snapchat message when you return back to the location that you’ve set as your home
- To remove the alert, tap the X next to ‘Home Safe.’ Since this is a one-time alert, you’ll have to re-enable it each time you want a friend to get a Home Safe Alert from you.
