Shared Stories are for you and your friends. Only you and the friends you pick can view and add Snaps to a Shared Story.
You can see who else can view a Shared Story in the Shared Story Profile! Press and hold on the Story and tap 'View Profile.'
Shared Story Tips
Check out these tips for creating or adding Snaps to a Shared Story.
- Snaps added to a Shared or Private last 24 hours. If no one adds a Snap to the Story in 24 hours, then it will delete by default.
- Snapchat servers are designed to automatically delete Snaps that you add to a Story when the Snap expires (usually 24 hours after posting, but varies depending on your Settings).
- The Snapchatter who created the Shared Story can save the whole thing. Learn more about saving Stories.
- If the creator of a Shared Story deletes it, then all of the Snaps in the Story get deleted, too. But don’t forget, Snapchatters can save their own Snaps and screenshot anyone else’s Snaps beforehand.
