- Tap ‘Save Sticker’ to save the sticker to your sticker drawer
Here’s how to create a custom sticker from a photo Snap:
- Take a photo Snap
- Tap the scissors icon on the Preview screen
- Outline the object you want to copy with your finger
- Lift your finger and it will paste onto your Snap as a sticker
How do I turn a video into an animated sticker?
In the sticker drawer, tap ‘New Sticker’ and choose a video from Memories or your Camera Roll.
Then:
- Select up to 5 seconds of your video to make a gif. Note that if you pause the video on a frame and then create the sticker, you will get a static sticker of that frame instead of an animated sticker.
- Drag the trim window over the part you want.
- To preview, tap the crop tool to change the area used for the sticker, or draw over the video to isolate one moving area. If you isolate an area, you get that cutout only.
- Tap the checkmark to create your sticker.
- Swipe between the version with the background and the version with the background removed (when available).
- Tap ‘Save’ to save the sticker to your sticker drawer.
Please Note: Creating animated stickers from video is a Snapchat+ feature. If you are not subscribed, tapping a video opens the Snapchat+ page where you can learn more and subscribe.
