On Spotlight and Discover in the Stories tab we use algorithms to personalise and rank content. We believe content is more relevant and entertaining when it’s personalised to your interest, and not someone else’s. For example, if you watch a lot of sports content, and tell us that you don’t like hair and makeup tips, we'll prioritise showing you sports and skip those makeup tips. If you’re on your way to becoming the next top chef, ads about cookware and recipes may enhance your time on Snapchat; ads about trampolines, maybe not so much (unless you like jumping!).
