If you're 16 or older, you can have a public My Story which is separate from your My Story for friends. Your followers will see the Stories posted to your public My Story in the 'Following' section of the Stories page.
Snapchatters can follow you from Spotlight, Discover or by tapping the 'Add' button on your Public Profile.
Anyone viewing your profile can also see your active public Stories. If you’re a creator 18+ who has established a wide audience, your public Stories could be recommended toon the Discover section. Snaps posted to your My Story · Friends will only be visible to Snapchatters you are friends with.
If your My Story privacy setting was set to 'Everyone' before, you can now post to My Story · Public to share your Snaps publicly instead. You still have the 'Custom' or 'My Friends' options for My Story · Friends!
Your public My Story can be found as a posting option titles My Story · Public in the Send To Screen. Use My Story · Friends to post to just your friends.
