What types of account locks are able to be appealed?
Accounts locked by our safety team for violations of our Community Guidelines can be appealed. If you have the option to appeal your account lock, you’ll be able to do so on the login screen in the Snapchat app.
Please Note: The reporting party and the reported party are notified separately about our enforcement action and how to submit an appeal.
How can I submit an appeal for a locked account?
Locked account appeals can be made in the Snapchat app from the login screen. To access the in-app appeals process, open your Snapchat app and attempt to log in. On the pop-up screen, tap 'Appeal Decision' to start the appeal process.
What happens when a decision is reached on my locked account appeal?
If your appeal is successful, we’ll email you to let you know that your appeal was successful and your account will be reinstated, and any strike against your account will be removed.
If your appeal is denied, we’ll email you to let you know that your appeal was denied, and your account will be deleted.
(EU Users) My appeal was unsuccessful. How can I pursue this further?
For EU users, if you have appealed unsuccessfully and would like to further appeal a decision, you can select any out-of-court dispute settlement body that has been certified in accordance with Article 21.3 of the Digital Services Act in order to resolve disputes relating to our decision. You may also raise any disputes in accordance with our Terms of Service.
