What types of content enforcements are able to be appealed?
Appeals are available for content that has been posted or distributed in certain parts of Snapchat (for example, Spotlight or Maps) where we have removed or restricted it for violation of our guidelines.
Please Note: The reporting party and the reported party are notified separately of our enforcement actions and how they can submit an appeal.
How can I submit an appeal for reported content?
When we receive a report on a Snap from the parts of our app that may reach a wider audience, we determine if the Snap has violated our Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Content Guidelines for Recommendation Eligibility before removing the content from recommendation eligibility. If your content has been restricted, you can appeal the decision here.
What happens when a decision is reached on my appeal?
If your appeal is successful, we’ll email you to let you know that your appeal was successful and the reported content will be made eligible for recommendation.
If your appeal is denied, we’ll email you to let you know that your appeal was denied, and your content will not be eligible for recommendation.
If you would like to further pursue our appeal decision, you can select any out-of-court dispute settlement body that has been certified in accordance with Article 21.3 of the Digital Services Act in order to resolve disputes relating to our decision. You may also raise any disputes in accordance with our Terms of Service.
