If “Allow Recent Pages” is on:
- Snap will collect the URL of the pages you explored and saved via this in-app browser so we can show you your ‘recent pages.’ This will allow you to revisit them later.
- Snap will collect data about your activity on the pages you visit via this in-app browser to improve and personalize the ads you see. Specifically, Snap will collect data about how you interact with the websites of our advertisers and partners (for example, if you purchase an item or engage with a promotion that was advertised on Snapchat). This will be used to help us and them to measure the performance of their ads on Snapchat and improve the content and targeting of these and future ads. Note that this does not apply to accounts that are under 18 in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
Additional information on our collection and use of data for ads can be found on Snap and Ads.
- Snap will also use data about your activity on the pages you visit via this in-app browser to improve and personalize the content you see on Snapchat. For example, if you visit a website of our advertisers and partners relating to sport, we may infer an interest in sport and use this to show you more sport content.
- Additional information on our collection and use of data to personalize public content on Snapchat can be found on the following support pages: How We Rank Content on Spotlight and How We Rank Content on Discover.
