How do I turn on Home Arrival Notifications?

Home Arrival Notifications let you automatically tell a friend when you get home. You can choose to send alerts ‘One time’ or ‘Every time.’ One time alerts expire after 24 hours. Learn how to add a place to start sending Arrival Notifications here.

When you arrive home, your friend gets a push notification and a Chat. Tapping the notification opens your Chat together.

To turn on Home Arrival Notifications from Chat, follow these steps:

1. Open a Chat with your friend
2. Tap the Map icon in the chat to open the location tray
3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications,’ toggle ‘My Home’ on
4. Choose to send alerts ‘One time’ or ‘Every time’

To turn on Home Arrival Notifications from Friend Profile, follow these steps:

1. Tap on a friend's profile
2. Scroll to the Snap Map section
3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications,’ toggle ‘My Home’ on
4. Choose to send alerts ‘One time’ or ‘Every time’

To stop sending Home Arrival Notifications, follow these steps:

1. Open a Chat with your friend
2. Tap the Map icon in the chat to open the location tray
3. Under ‘Arrival Notifications,’ toggle ‘My Home’ off

Please Note:

• If you stop sharing your location with a friend (including using Ghost Mode), these notifications turn off automatically.
• Your friend can also choose to stop receiving these notifications.
