How do I share content from Snapchat?
You can share a Snap or certain other content, like Memories, outside of Snapchat by creating a public link. Please note that anyone with the link will be able to view the content that you linked to.
To create a shareable link, follow the steps below.
- Open the Snap or other content you want to share
- Tap the share option
- Choose ‘Copy Link’ or share it with another app
Who can use the shared link that I created?
Shared links are public, meaning anyone with the link can view your shared content. Links can also be forwarded. Keep this in mind before you share a link outside of Snapchat, and share only with people you trust. If your content is sensitive, consider whether to share the content off Snapchat at all.
How long are shared public links accessible?
Shared links are publicly accessible by anyone who has the link until the link expires, which occurs around 36 hours after it gets created.
Can I delete or remove a link after sharing it?
Once you create a link that can be shared off of Snapchat, you can delete the link by following these steps:
- Make sure you’re logged into the Snapchat app
- Open the link you want to delete
- Select the menu icon (three dots in the top right)
- Choose the option to delete
Please Note: Deleting the underlying content (like a Snap or Memory) that you shared does not invalidate the shared public link. It will continue to serve your content and will stay accessible until you delete the link or it expires.
