How do I make sure my Memories are backed up?

If you see the đŸ”„ icon on a Snap or Story in Memories, it means it isn’t backed up yet!

To verify that your Memories are completely backed up…

  1. Tap âš™ïž in My Profile to open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap ‘Memories’
  3. Check that ‘Backup Progress’ says “Complete”

If ‘Backup Progress’ says “# Snaps Remaining,” or “No Network Connection,” then your Memories are not completely backed up! Make sure your device has good cellular service or is connected to Wi-Fi.

Please Note: It’s not possible to recover lost Memories that weren’t successfully backed up.

⚠ Important: Always make sure your Memories are completely backed up before you log out of Snapchat, log into Snapchat on a different device, or uninstall Snapchat!
