What is a Place Visit?
A Place Visit is when you tag a Place on a Snap—by adding a Place sticker or filter, writing a Place in your caption, or tagging a Place on the Send To page. You can share that Snap anywhere, including Stories, direct Snaps, Spotlight, or the Map.
If you share your location with Snapchat, we will also add Place Visits based on your location data.
What is My Top Places on Snap Map?
My Top Places is a filter chip on Snap Map that helps you get to your frequent Place Visits. On the Map, look for the filter row along the top of the map. The chips include My Top Places, Memories, Trending, Footsteps, and Visited.
Tap My Top Places to open the My Top Places hub as a sheet over the Map. From the hub, you can browse your top places and saved places and open a Place Profile for more details.
My Top Places is private to you, like your Visited list and Footsteps. It does not change who can see your location on Snap Map.
How do I see my Visited Places?
On the Map, tap Visited in the filter row to open the Places Tray. You’ll see a list of places you’ve visited and spots marked ‘Visited’ on your basemap. For a shortcut to places you visit most often, tap My Top Places in the same row.
What does “Top Visitor” mean on the Map?
If you visit a place frequently, you might see a “Top Visitor” trophy on the Map and on the Place Profile.
How long are Place Visits recorded?
Visits are kept for the lifetime of your account unless you remove them or clear your location history.
How do I remove a Place from my Visited list?
From the Visited list, press and hold a place and tap ‘Remove Place Visit.’ This removes all Visits for that Place. You can also press and hold the ‘Visited’ tag on a Place profile.
